Programs & Workshops
Spotlight programs and workshops are open to the community and led by experts in cancer and health living. These programs are typically offered in the evenings and reflect interests expressed by Wellness Place participants, latest cancer findings, and the healthcare community. Recent workshops include new developments in cancer detection and treatment, book release and readings, healthy lifestyle choices for long term survivorship, and nutrition. Spotlight programs are available at no charge. Calendars are printed quarterly and pre-registration is appreciated.
Visit our Resource Center to browse our collection of cancer-related, nutrition and health information books, clinical trials, tapes and CDs during regularly scheduled hours. Volunteers and clinical specialists are prepared to assist you in locating appropriate materials. An internet accessible computer is available for individual research.
In addition, a dedicated Prostate Cancer Resource Center is open to all and contains a comprehensive, patient-oriented library of information.
Wellness Place provides education, counseling and support for those experiencing cancer. Our clinical oncology specialists are familiar with most cancer types and have access to qualified resources to obtain the latest information concerning diagnosis, treatment, side effects, prognosis and new developments.

I Can Cope - American Cancer Society
Individualized “I Can Cope” counseling sessions, developed by the American Cancer Society are offered to address treatments and side effects, terminology, communication and caregiver assistance. www.cancer.org
