Prostate cancer yet another worry for women
Male patients move on after cancer treatment, while wives keep agonizing

Prostate cancer is a “couple’s disease.”  Many treatment decisions affect the man with prostate cancer, and the significant other as well. There are emotional and physical side effects that are shared between the man and his significant other (sexual dysfunction, incontinence, etc.) that can effect the relationship as a whole.  From my experience, it is often the significant other that is the driving force for the husband or boyfriend to seek more information on treatment options, side effects, experts in the field, maintain medical records, and so forth and is integral in the prostate cancer survivor’s success in finding the best possible plan of action to take.
