In February of 2008 I was diagnosed with a rare type of ovarian cancer called primary peritoneal cancer. My first introduction to Wellness Place was with their child specialist who guided me through handling my disease while being a 36 year old mother of 3 young children. She worked with my children and helped them understand what was going on. She also introduced me to the benefits Wellness Place had to offer me. I had numerous visits with an oncology clinical specialist who helped me cope with my disease. I attended other programs (yoga, hypnosis, massage) that made me feel whole again.
